About
The National Security Agency is a multi-million dollar federal agency founded in 1952. The main job of the NSA is to protect the security of the nation and to promote the welfare of the people. On June 5th, 2013, a man by the name of Edward Snowden released highly-classified government documents that leaked the motives and operations of the NSA. Upon hearing this, The United States fell into a state of shock. America became divided into two sides; the pro-NSA and the anti-NSA. One side argues, even to today, that the Agency is essential in keeping America a safe place. Nevertheless, others feel that violating privacies is a flagrant breech in civil rights and must desist immediately. This controversy, although is still very recent, has affected many people throughout the world.
